Well that’s the formal announcement and the afternoon will start around Noon, with a bubbly on arrival with some munchies, before the AGM starts.

Four of our Directors have served their 2 year term but are offering themselves for re-election, they are Barbara Barde, Malcolm Cocks, John Macdonald and Bernard Nottage and of course we always welcome further nominations.

Rod de Courcy-Ireland, our Treasurer who has been on the Board since 1995, regrettably is standing down, following his move to Picton. We would like to thank him for his outstanding service and hope that he will be able to attend some of our events in the future. Meantime, fellow Board member Nick Kammer will take over as Treasurer.

Once the business session is completed at about 12:50, we’ll head out to the courtyard for a sit down brunch. We will have a fine selection of wines to match the menu below.

First Course
Coconut Shrimp Soup, White Asparagus and Tomato Broth

Second Course
Lamb Satay, Shitake Jus, Duchesse Potatoes

Third Course
Chocolate Mascarpone Brownie, with Roasted Rhubarb

Coffee and Tea

Australian Wine Society of Toronto

The Australian Wine Society (AWS) of Toronto is a not-for-profit organization devoted to the enjoyment of Australian wines. Through exposure to, and education about the wines and wine regions of Australia, the Society seeks to encourage a greater awareness of the wine varietals, the diversity and the styles of Aussie wines, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The opportunity to try a wide range of wines makes it easier for members to decide what types they might want to purchase through wine agents, the LCBO, Vintages monthly releases and the Classics Catalogue.
